NordCham Philippines Grants Honorary Partnership to the Embassy of Ukraine
Manila, Philippines — During the 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Nordic Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (NordCham) formally conferred an Honorary Partnership upon the Embassy of Ukraine to the Philippines, underscoring the Chamber’s commitment to supporting a rules-based international order and standing in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
In his address, NordCham President Bo Lundqvist shared a moving reflection from the previous evening, when he represented NordCham at the pre-screening of Hope for the Dawn to Come, a documentary produced by Media Partner The Philippine Business and News. The film, created by veteran journalist Monsi Serrano, chronicles the devastating impact of Russia’s unprovoked aggression on Ukrainian children and the education system.
A Symbol of Solidarity and Principle
President Lundqvist then shared the decision of the NordCham Board:
“The Board of NordCham Philippines has decided to invite the Embassy of Ukraine to the Philippines as an Honorary Member in 2026. We do this to show our unwavering support for the people of Ukraine, and our steadfast belief in a rules-based international order, where no nation has the right to impose its interest over other nations. Neither in Ukraine, Greenland nor the Philippines.”
He then invited Her Excellency Yuliia Fediv, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Philippines, to join him onstage to accept the honorary membership on behalf of the embassy.
Strengthening Nordic-Philippine-Ukrainian Relations
With this recognition, NordCham Philippines affirms its longstanding advocacy for peace, democracy, and international cooperation. The gesture also reflects shared Nordic values—human rights, sovereignty, and the protection of vulnerable communities—while deepening the Chamber’s engagement with the diplomatic community in Manila.
Ambassador Fediv thanked NordCham for the solidarity extended to Ukraine and emphasized the importance of international partners in amplifying the call for peace and justice.
